Treatments and/or Removal of Benign Skin Lesions

Many patients have worrisome or unwanted skin lesions. Dr. G. DeAn Strobel, MD, will remove almost any small lesion on the body. Dr. Strobel prefers not to surgical remove lesions of the face and usually refers such cases to a plastic surgeon or dermatologist. Lesions removed in our office range from skin tags and moles to cysts and small lipomas.

Dr. Strobel thoroughly cleanses the area then injects with a local anesthetic. The lesion is then surgically removed and stitches placed if necessary. We believe that lesions should be evaluated thoroughly by a pathologist to ensure a benign nature.

Certain types of lesions such as common warts or seborrheic keratoses can be frozen in the office. Dr. Strobel is able to accommodate these types of treatments as well.
